Whitelist Instructions

Thank you for subscribing to White Collar Advice.

Many e-mail and Internet companies are now using programs to block unwanted e-mail, often called spam. The problem with these programs, however, is that sometimes they block the mail you actually want to receive!

To Ensure You Are Receiving Your White Collar Advice Emails Please Do The Following:

Be sure to add the corresponding White Collar Advice (for example: jp@whitecollarnadvice.com) email addresses to your email whitelist to ensure the best chance of receiving our content and updates.

For some background, a whitelist is a list of accepted items or persons in a set–a list of email addresses or domain names from which an e-mail blocking program will allow messages to be received.

Why is this so important?

Unsolicited, unwanted e-mail, otherwise known as “spam”, has become a big problem. It’s reached such proportions that most e-mail services and Internet Service Providers have put some sort of filtering system in place or begun relying on blacklists to try to separate the good emails from the bad.

Look, I hate unsolicited email, and so does White Collar Advice. For many reasons, we appreciate the efforts to protect you and me from spam. Still, it should not get in the way of getting emails we actually want!

Fortunately, there are things you can do to ensure your subscription with White Collar Advice avoids the dreaded blacklist. To get our emails you will have to create a “whitelist”.

To ensure you get our content please whitelist us now!

We know that emails systems function differently. Below are some instructions for some of the popular ones we have come across. If by chance your ISP is not here, simply contact your ISP to learn how. If you are using some sort of filtering or blocking system yourself (in addition to what your ISP might provide), we’ve provided those instructions on how to exempt your subscription from some of the more popular programs. We use Macs at White Collar Advice so let’s start there!
