Package 1:

We offer assistance and information based on our collective experience as justice-impacted people. We retain Subject Matter Experts, we research BOP policy, and we regularly review judicial decisions to stay current with mitigation strategies at every stage of the mitigation arc.

We encourage you to watch the videos we’ve done with subject matter experts that included:

Sentencing Narrative

Our team at Earning Freedom (“We,” “Us,” “Our”) will collaborate with the client (“You,” “Your”) to write a “sentencing narrative” document for an audience of one—the sentencing judge.

Based on our interviews with more than 20 federal judges, we’re confident that the sentencing narrative can positively influence the sentencing judge. We encourage you to watch the following video clip from our interview with Judge Mark Bennett:

The sentencing narrative should help the judge learn Your life story, humanizing You in ways that differ from what prosecutors present in a charging instrument or the Probation Officer suggests in the Pre-Sentence Investigation Report.

Scope and Process

We will assign a writer to interview you and draft a preliminary narrative document. You will collaborate with the writer until the sentencing narrative reflects your true story.

You will have access to our proprietary digital Sentencing Narrative course to learn more about how a personal sentencing narrative works as part of an effective mitigation strategy that will differentiate you from others.

The finished sentencing narrative should span between 2,700 and 3,200 words. We encourage you to use your sentencing narrative as part of your mitigation strategy, preparing You for every stage of the journey.

This project requires collaboration. We need Your involvement and active engagement. We consider the product delivered after you accept the work or if we provide the sentencing narrative and you do not respond to us within seven days.

Allocution Statement

Scope and Process:

An allocution statement should help the judge understand a person as an individual. Ideally, the person should prepare a statement that he can recite in Court, without notes. If the person needs to read a document, then the allocution statement should stay on point, addressing the reason why he or she is reading.

Earning Freedom (“We”) will assist Client (“You”) with creating an allocution statement. This statement should last approximately three to five minutes. This statement will support other information that you’ve submitted in writing.

Character Reference Letter Product Description (Up to Five)

Scope and Process:

Good character reference letters help judges understand defendants as individuals. Interviews we’ve done with federal judges have given us insight into what it means to create an effective character-reference letter.

The writer should describe the relationship and share a personal story, or experience, that helps the judge understand the person’s character.

Our team at Earning Freedom (“We”) will collaborate with the Client (“You”). Together, we will launch a campaign to generate character reference letters. This collaboration will require you to provide our team with the following information:

  • Name of the people you identify as good character references,
  • Emails of the people you identify as good character references,
  • Phone numbers of the people you identify as good character references,

You should also let your character references know that a member of our team will call to coordinate an interview for the character reference.

A member of our team interview your character reference and draft a character-reference letter, based upon what we’ve learned from federal judges. We will work with your References to edit the letters in ways that reflect the true sentiments of your Character Reference.

After we draft the Character Reference letter, we will send the original copy to your Character Reference, and your Character Reference should send a copy to your lawyer. We will cc you on the draft we submit to your Character Reference. We will keep records in our file to show that we’re ghostwriting on behalf of your Character Reference.

Participants will also gain access to our proprietary course on the role of character references and the sentencing process.

Ten (ea): 30-Minute Blocks of Consulting (5 hours)

Scope and Process:

Members of the Earning Freedom community have access to thousands of videos and audio files. We also offer books and courses. Sometimes, the amount of content overwhelms people. They want answers to specific questions that are pertinent to their situation.

Those challenges require personal consulting with a qualified member of our team.

Customers who select Consulting hours will receive a bank of links to schedule appointments. When scheduling appointments, we’ll ask our customers to define what they’d like to cover. That way, we can match the best consultant for the job and also provide additional resources.

Typically, we record our consultation sessions, using the Google Meet software. After the completion of the consultation, we send a copy of the video/audio file to the client for future reference. We will only record with the client’s permission, and only to memorialize the consultation.
