Prison Professors Charitable Corporation

A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit · EIN 85-2603315

Every resource is 100% free, funded by donations. Founded by Michael Santos after 26 years in federal prison, Prison Professors helps justice-impacted people earn freedom through merit.

The Mission

Incentivize the Pursuit of Excellence

Prison Professors empowers people impacted by the criminal justice system to build pathways toward success. Michael Santos transformed his life during 26 years of incarceration, then built a nonprofit that creates self-directed resources, courses, and books that inspire resilience, accountability, and meaningful change.

The philosophy is simple: measure justice by how hard a person works to reconcile with society, live as a good citizen, and prepare for success upon release — not by how many calendar pages they serve in prison.

White Collar Advice has sponsored and partnered with the Prison Professors Charitable Corporationsince before Michael Santos completed his federal prison term in 2013. Justin Paperny serves as an ambassador for the nonprofit — the courses, the framework, and the tools are yours to use, at no cost.

“We are not asking society to offer a second chance. We are building a pathway where opportunity is earned through merit.”
