Mitigation-Personal Website Product Description

Be Extraordinary and Compelling

In this era of the First Step Act, each person going into the system must think about documenting a record that shows what it means to be extraordinary and compelling. Those are not our words. They come from judicial opinions, the US Sentencing Commission, and the First Step Act itself. What makes you extraordinary and compelling? Participants should work hard to position themselves for the highest level of liberty at the soonest possible time. A personal website becomes a powerful, centralized platform for documenting extraordinary and compelling efforts. Participants should use their personal website should feature content that validates self-advocacy efforts and demonstrates a commitment to success at every stage of the journey. Earning Freedom (“We” “Us” “Our”) will collaborate with Client (“You”) on the design, construction, hosting, and maintenance of a personal website

Scope and Process

We work with you to develop your website visually, and with best-practice methods for publishing content. We collaborate with you at each stage of the project–concept and design, building and launching, hosting and posting. Our IT department will configure and implement domain and hosting services; create a WordPress template, functionality & integrate with 3rd party services, and make your site public. During the first year, we post and publish your content on a weekly basis. Our team will create relevant thumbnails for each post, consistent with the theme of your website. After the first year, if you would like us to continue hosting your website and posting your content, simply purchase additional hosting and posting services on an annual basis. Annual costs for hosting and posting are based on the number of posts selected (quantity discounts included) and current domain hosting fees. Our team stores your written content in a cloud-based folder for as long as we host your website. At the time of your release from prison or home confinement, or upon request, our team will migrate your website to your own independent hosting account. Migration costs will depend upon which hosting company you choose. Following the migration, you will thereafter be responsible for all domain, hosting, and licensing fees associated with your website’s plugins and functionality.
