The camp uses dormitory-style housing with 12-man rooms. Preferred two-man rooms may be available for people with a good disciplinary record. Five televisions are located on the first floor of each unit. TV viewing is Sunday–Thursday 11:00 AM–11:30 PM, and Friday/Saturday/pre-holiday nights 11:00 AM–2:00 AM. TV rooms are closed 7:30–11:00 AM weekdays for cleaning.

Phone Policy

You receive 300 minutes per month. Calls end after 15 minutes with a 30-caller limit. Phones are operational 6:00 AM–11:30 PM except during count times. All calls may be monitored and recorded. Unmonitored legal calls require approval.

Psychology/Counseling Services

Psychology Services offers individual counseling along with a variety of group programs including criminal thinking errors, anger management, and other therapeutic groups. Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings are available for peer support. A psychology library with self-help books and videos is also maintained for personal development.

Health Services

People requesting medical care should report to sick-call triage between 6:30 and 6:45 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, excluding holidays. Outpatient care is provided as needed, and medical staff coverage is available around the clock. The pill line runs from 6:00 to 6:30 AM and again after the 4:00 PM count daily, with insulin administered first. People under 50 are eligible for a physical examination every two years, while those 50 and older may request an annual exam.

Fitness & Recreation

The gymnasium is open Sunday through Saturday and holidays from 6:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Indoor facilities include weightlifting rooms, stationary bicycles, an exercise area, music rooms, and a television room. Outdoor facilities feature a softball field, soccer and football field, handball and racquetball courts, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, bocce ball lanes, and a year-round recreation yard. The hobby craft center offers leather craft and music programs, including piano and guitar lessons, with dedicated practice time for band and group players. An intramural sports program covers basketball, soccer, volleyball, and softball, along with a general fitness program.

Religious Services

Full-time chaplains coordinate a wide range of religious activities for all faith groups. Contract clergy and volunteers further enrich the services of different religious communities. Each faith group celebrates a major weekly service and may hold a religious study at another time during the week, schedule permitting. Religious clothing, religious diets, and pastoral visits from outside clergy can all be authorized through the chaplains.
