Satellite Camp
Danbury Camp SCP is a minimum-security satellite camp for women in Danbury, Connecticut, roughly 70 miles from New York City. The camp offers floral design vocational training, trauma treatment through the RESOLVE Program, and non-residential drug treatment.

People at the camp are housed in open-bay dormitories with eight- to ten-person rooms. There are approximately two television rooms per housing unit.
The Electronic Law Library (ELL) provides access to legal materials and document preparation. A copy machine is available through Trust Fund. The library also offers a variety of reading materials including periodicals, newspapers, fiction, non-fiction, and reference books.
The camp accepts mail via U.S. Postal Service First Class, Priority, and Express Mail. Contact the institution before sending overnight packages through private carriers like FedEx or UPS.
Psychology Services offers mental health care including screening, assessment, and treatment of mental health or substance abuse concerns. Services include individual therapy, crisis intervention, psychological testing, psycho-educational classes, and self-help and supportive services. The camp offers a non-residential drug treatment program (12–24 weeks), trauma treatment through the Resolve Program, and other cognitive-behavioral treatment groups. The Resolve Program supports those with a history of trauma and includes the Trauma in Life Workshop, non-residential counseling groups, and the Skills Program. A suicide prevention program is also available. Confidentiality is maintained for all services.
Danbury Camp provides outpatient medical and dental care. Danbury Hospital is five to ten minutes away, and at least one mid-level provider is on duty or on call 24 hours a day. Sick call and dental sick call are held on posted days and times, with modified sick call on weekends and holidays. Appointments for routine medical and dental care are scheduled through the triage area in Health Services. Pill line and prescription pick-up times are posted in the Health Services Department. Preventive health visits are available every two years for those under 50, and annually for those over 50.
The recreation department offers a wide range of structured and non-structured activities. Structured classes include hobby craft programs such as art, origami, crochet, and knitting, as well as music classes including guitar and piano. Non-structured activities include puzzles, dominoes, cards, board games, and billiards. Art programs cover painting and sketching in various media including oils, pastels, crayons, pencils, and inks. Wellness programs include circuit training, aerobics, over-50 fitness, nutrition, and yoga. Year-round indoor and outdoor intramural leagues are offered, with basketball, softball, volleyball, soccer, handball, and racquetball available seasonally.
The Religious Services Department provides pastoral care and religious accommodation for individual and group beliefs and practices. Chaplains offer religious worship, education, counseling, spiritual direction, support, and crisis intervention. The department also oversees the religious diet program, ceremonial religious meals, and religious holiday observances.
