Law Library

The camp law and leisure library provides access to legal reference materials, the Electronic Law Library search engine, and a copying machine. Printing from the Electronic Law Library costs $0.15 per page. The leisure library offers fiction, non-fiction, magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, and bilingual reading materials. Libraries are open weekdays, evenings, and weekends per posted schedules.

Commissary

The commissary is open Monday through Friday. Shopping days and times are based on your registration number. The monthly spending limit is $360.

The camp accepts U.S. Postal Service First-Class, Priority, and Express Mail. Contact the facility before sending overnight mail via private carriers. Newspapers must come directly from the publisher. Magazines must come directly from the publisher via subscription and may be kept for three months. Newspapers may be kept for seven days. Psychology services offers a non-residential drug treatment program, non-residential counseling groups, and drug education classes. Drug education is available to all prisoners and is designed to support ongoing substance abuse awareness and recovery.

Health Services

The camp is part of a larger Federal Medical Center staffed by physicians, physician assistants, nurses, psychiatrists, social workers, and dentists to meet the needs of female prisoners. All emergency injuries receive priority treatment. Medications are dispensed during pill lines twice daily; current pill line times are posted on TRULINCS.

Fitness & Recreation

The recreation department offers a variety of leisure activities including bingo, organized and informal sports, social activities, arts and hobby crafts, physical fitness classes, and aerobic activities. Special programs and holiday events such as tournaments, music programs, and talent shows are also available. General interest courses in health education, fitness, and wellness are offered as well.

Staff chaplains provide religious services and are available for pastoral counseling. Participation in religious programs is voluntary. Regular organized services are held in most major faiths, with schedules posted on unit bulletin boards and outside the chapel entrance. A free religious reading and audio/visual library is available for prisoner use.
