Psychology staff at the camp provide counseling and support services. Prisoners whose offense is related to substance abuse, or who receive a court recommendation for drug programming, are required to complete a 40-hour drug education program. The camp offers a 500-hour Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), which runs approximately nine months. Additional resources include a non-residential drug treatment program, Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and voluntary self-help groups such as self-image programs.
Medical services at Beaumont Camp are managed through a contract provider operating similarly to an HMO. Care is delivered by physicians, mid-level practitioners, nurses, and ancillary staff. Services deemed medically acceptable but not medically necessary may not be covered. Specialty consultations are available when needed. Optometry services are offered, and glasses are provided every two years if there is a significant change in vision. Comprehensive dental care is also available. Sick call takes place each morning before breakfast on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (excluding holidays). Medical care is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The recreation department at the camp offers stationary bicycles, stair-steppers, rowing machines, a music room, pool tables, and ping-pong tables. Physical fitness and weight reduction programs are available, along with intramural team sports such as softball, basketball, and volleyball. The recreation area is open daily until 8:30 PM. The hobby craft center provides leather craft and art activities.
Staff chaplains and community volunteers lead services for a variety of faiths. A wide range of religious programs is available. Religious diets, holiday observances, and other worship activities are coordinated through the chaplain's office.
