The Psychology Services Department offers a range of mental health and substance abuse services. Substance abuse services include Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and drug abuse counseling. A resource library of psychology and self-help books, pamphlets, and audiotapes is also available.

Health Services

Medical doctors, physician assistants, a medication technician, and a dentist provide medical and dental care at the camp. Prisoners needing medical attention must submit a written request to the Health Services Unit. Sick call sign-up at the camp is held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 to 8:30 AM (except holidays). There is no sick call on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, or federal holidays. Camp pill line hours are Monday through Friday 10:00 to 10:30 AM and 7:00 to 7:30 PM; weekends and holidays 7:00 to 7:15 AM, 12:30 to 12:45 PM, and 7:00 to 7:30 PM. Prisoners under the age of 50 may request a physical examination every two years, while those over 50 may request one annually.

Fitness & Recreation

Physical fitness and leisure programs are offered to promote positive lifestyle changes, reduce stress, and support overall health and emotional well-being. Activities include organized and informal games, sports, physical fitness, table games, hobby crafts, music programs, intramural activities, social and cultural organizations, and movies. The hobby craft center offers ceramics, leather craft, puritan sticks, painting, sketching, knitting, and beadwork. Two movies per week are shown in the housing unit and recreation TV rooms.

Religious Services

Worship services, scripture studies, discussion groups, and pastoral care are provided by staff chaplains. A lending library and a reference library complement the books and periodicals available to all prisoners.
