Psychology/Counseling Services

The camp offers a nine-month, 500-hour Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), as well as a non-residential drug treatment program, community transition drug abuse treatment, a parenting program, Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Healthy Lifestyles, Smoking Cessation, Pain Management, and other voluntary groups. A Drug Education Program (DEP) and an intensive 29-week Drug Abuse Program (DAP) are also available. The camp is staffed by one full-time psychologist, one DAP coordinator, and eight drug treatment specialists. Psychologist services are available by request.

Health Services

Health staff is on duty weekdays from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Each person is assigned a specific primary healthcare provider who handles all sick call requests and monitors chronic health problems. Sick call and dental call sign-up are available Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 6:30 to 7:00 AM. The medication line is open weekdays at 6:30 to 7:00 AM, 2:45 PM (insulin only), and 3:00 to 3:30 PM; weekends at 8:00 to 8:30 AM, 2:45 PM (insulin only), and 3:00 to 3:30 PM. A contract optometrist visits for eye exams. Local hospitals are approximately five minutes away. Emergency medical care is available 24 hours a day. Age-specific preventative health examinations are available.

Fitness & Recreation

The Recreation Department offers intramural team sports, weight areas, a hobby craft center, musical instruments, pool tables, shuffleboard, and ping-pong tables. Physical fitness and weight reduction programs are offered. The hobby craft center offers leather craft, painting, art, and beadwork. Music lessons are available. No gambling games are allowed.

Religious Services

The camp is staffed by one full-time non-denominational chaplain. A community of volunteers provides services for most faiths, including an imam, rabbi, priest, Native American spiritual leaders, Protestant groups, and Seventh Day Adventists. Religious holidays, activities, materials, and clothing items are coordinated through the chaplain.
