Psychology/Counseling Services

Psychology staff provides a full range of treatment and consultative services. Voluntary group programs cover topics such as self-image, personal finance, health and nutrition, parenting, and release preparation. Individual therapy, brief counseling, and psycho-educational programs are also available. The Living Free Program is frequently offered by unit and psychology staff. Open house hours for individual counseling are Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 3:30 PM. A psychologist is available for crisis intervention as needed.

Health Services

Sick call sign-up at the camp is held from 6:00 to 6:30 AM. The camp pill line runs from 7:00 to 7:30 AM and again from 6:00 to 6:30 PM. On-site emergency medical care is available around the clock. Age-specific physical examinations are available upon request — those under 50 may request one every two years, while those over 50 may request one annually.

Fitness & Recreation

The recreation department offers both indoor and outdoor activities, including table basketball and volleyball. Hobby craft programs include leather, art, drawing, beadwork, and crochet. Athletic and music equipment are provided and maintained by the recreation staff.

Religious Services

Full-time chaplains are available, along with contract and volunteer representatives of various faiths. Special religious diets, holiday observances, and other worship activities are coordinated through the chaplains' office. Schedules and information are posted on housing unit and chapel bulletin boards.
