Commissary

Shopping is Monday through Thursday based on your registration number, on a rotating schedule. The monthly spending limit is $360. Special purchases like watches and radios require unit manager approval. Your total accumulated commissary items (including special purchases) count toward the monthly limit.

Phone Policy

Phone hours are 6:00 AM–11:30 PM. Access is limited weekdays (not holidays) during 7:30–10:30 AM and 12:30 PM until after the 4:00 PM count. Calls are limited to 15 minutes. You get 300 minutes per month with a 30-number approved list. You must transfer funds from your commissary account to your phone account; collect calls are also available.

Psychology/Counseling Services

The Psychology Services Department offers a wide range of group educational programs including stress management, anger management, smoking cessation, and self-image groups. Additional services include drug abuse education and non-residential drug treatment. Individual counseling is also available upon request.

Health Services

Medical care is available from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekdays and daily. Sick call is held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 10:30 AM, with dental sick call on the same days at 6:45 AM. The pill line occurs during posted time periods. Physical examinations are available every two years for people under 50, and annually for those 50 and older.

Fitness & Recreation

Programs include both indoor and outdoor activities, ranging from individualized arts and crafts to intramural team sports such as softball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball. All sporting activities take place in the recreation area. The Recreation Department may also offer band and music programs, hobby crafts, music listening, wellness and fitness resources, and walking or running opportunities. Leisure time activities include board games, cards, dominoes, television viewing, and bingo, with some activities available in the housing units.

Religious Services

The Religious Services Department provides pastoral care, counseling, and a variety of religious programs. Regularly scheduled services, studies, special programs, holy day observances, and periodic guest speakers cover a range of faith topics. Staff chaplains are assisted by contract staff and community volunteers.
