Open dormitories and two-person cubicles. Television viewing hours are 6:00 AM–midnight.
300 minutes per month. Calls limited to 15 minutes, 30 approved numbers. Camp phones available Monday–Friday 6:00–7:30 AM, 10:30 AM–12:30 PM, and after 4:00 PM count until midnight (except 10:00 PM count). Three phones in West Dorm, eight in New Dorm. Unmonitored legal calls available upon request.
Accepts USPS First Class, Priority, and Express Mail. All incoming packages require prior authorization. Hardcover publications must come from the publisher or bookstore. Limited to six magazines and ten books.
Law library in the Education Department, open during non-working hours every day. Typewriters and copiers available for legal document preparation.
The Psychology Services department at the camp includes psychologists and a drug treatment specialist, with offices located across from Food Service. The camp offers a nine-month, 500-hour Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), as well as a non-residential drug treatment program, a drug education program, and other voluntary individual and group psychotherapy. Psychologists are available for brief counseling, crisis intervention, and group sessions.
The Health Services Department at the camp is located in the old dormitory and administration building. On-site medical care is available weekdays from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Sick call sign-up is held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:00 to 7:15 AM. Dental sick call at the camp takes place on Wednesday at 7:30 AM. Pill line hours are 6:00 to 6:30 AM (including insulin) and 2:30 to 3:15 PM (insulin only). At least one physician assistant is on duty or on call around the clock. The staff includes physicians, mid-level practitioners, nurses, a pharmacist, a dentist, and a dental hygienist, supported by contracted specialists such as an X-ray technician, optometrist, and pharmacy technician. Outpatient care is provided on-site. Persons under the age of 50 may request a physical examination every two years, while those over 50 may request one annually.
Physical fitness and leisure programs are designed to reduce stress and support overall health and emotional well-being. Activities include organized and informal games, sports, intramural activities, table games, music programs, and movies. The hobby craft center offers artwork, leather craft, crocheting, knitting, drawing, bead work, and stick art. Persons are also encouraged to participate in housing unit activities such as unit-based hobby craft.
The Religious Services Department provides pastoral care and religious accommodation for individual and group beliefs and practices. Chaplains offer worship services, education, counseling, marriages, spiritual direction, and crisis intervention. The department also oversees the religious diet program, ceremonial meals, and holiday observances. Faith-based reentry programs such as Life Connections and Threshold are available.
