The facility is staffed by physicians, physician assistants, dentists, and a pharmacist. Outpatient care is provided. Local hospitals are five to ten minutes away, with a major university hospital 45 minutes away. Sick call is scheduled once daily on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:30 to 7:45 AM. Pill line hours are posted at the pharmacy window. At least one physician assistant is on duty or on call 24 hours a day.
The facility is staffed by three full-time chaplains with an open-door policy for personal counseling. Contract clergy and community volunteers provide services for most faiths. A religious services schedule is updated periodically and posted in the chapel and on unit bulletin boards. Free greeting cards, a religious library (including books and audio-visual resources), and free religious literature (including Bibles, Quran, and devotionals) are available.
