Satellite Camp
Cumberland Camp SCP is a minimum-security satellite camp for men in Cumberland, Maryland, located about 130 miles northwest of Washington, D.C. The camp sits adjacent to FCI Cumberland in the Allegheny Mountains and offers a residential drug abuse treatment program (RDAP), vocational training, and the Tail of Freedom Dog Training Program.

People at the camp are housed in two- and three-person cells. Units are wheelchair accessible. Each unit has approximately eight television rooms with basic cable. TV rooms are open Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 AM to midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 AM to 2 AM.
The camp accepts mail via U.S. Postal Service First Class, Priority, and Express Mail. Contact the institution before sending overnight packages through private carriers like FedEx or UPS. All publications, books, and magazines must come directly from the publisher, book club, or bookstore.
Psychology services are available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM on an appointment basis, with open house hours on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 AM until afternoon work call. An on-call psychologist is available after hours for emergencies. Services include individual counseling, crisis intervention, substance abuse treatment groups, Anger Management, and Stress Management programs. Psychology staff work closely with a consulting psychiatrist and Health Services to support those who need medication for psychological symptoms.
Sick call and dental sick call sign-up takes place Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 7:00 AM. For routine concerns, you can sign up electronically through TRULINCS or obtain a form from the housing unit officer. Camp pill line hours are 6:00–6:30 AM, 11:30 AM–12:15 PM (insulin, new prescriptions, and refills), 3:30–3:45 PM, 4:45–5:00 PM (insulin and restricted medications), and 7:00–7:30 PM. Weekend and holiday pill line hours are 7:00–7:15 AM, 11:30 AM–12:15 PM, 4:45–5:00 PM, and 7:00–7:30 PM. Periodic health examinations, including age-specific preventive screenings, are provided at the clinical director's discretion.
The recreation department offers a variety of activities on the yard, in the gymnasium, and in the leisure center, including team sports, exercise bicycles, stair steppers, and Nautilus equipment. A music room with instruments, pool tables, and ping-pong tables are also available. The hobby craft center offers leather craft, ceramics, painting, drawing, crocheting, and knitting. Physical fitness and weight reduction programs are offered as well. Special events and tournaments are held on major holidays and weekends.
The camp provides staff chaplains along with contract and volunteer representatives of various faiths. Special dietary restrictions, holiday observances, and other worship activities are accommodated through the Chaplain's office.

Federal sentences are not always served in full. Good time credit, the First Step Act, and RDAP can significantly reduce your time served.
This facility offers the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), which can reduce your sentence by up to 12 months.
Cumberland Camp offers an intensive nine-month residential drug abuse treatment program (RDAP). Non-residential drug treatment and transitional services for RDAP graduates are also available.
