Housing

People at the camp are housed in dormitories with two-person and four-person cubicles. Television viewing runs 6 AM–11:30 PM Sunday through Thursday, and until 2 AM on Friday and Saturday.

Library

The library is open Monday–Friday 12:30–3 PM; Wednesday–Friday 5:15–8 PM; and Sunday 10:30 AM–3 PM and 5:15–8 PM. Closed Saturdays and federal holidays. The library offers materials in both Spanish and English, with a two-week checkout period and an interlibrary loan program. Legal clerks are available for research assistance.

A small workforce from the camp is employed in the industrial products factory.

Psychology/Counseling Services

Psychology Services offers individual counseling, screening, assessment, and treatment of mental health concerns. Available programming includes psycho-educational classes, self-help and supportive services, and group counseling. The Non-Residential Drug Abuse Program (NRDAP) is a voluntary treatment program covering a variety of substance-abuse-related topics. Additional self-help groups such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous may also be available.

Health Services

All medical care is provided by the Health Services Unit staff, with referrals to outside consultants when necessary. General hours of operation are 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, seven days a week, with emergency medical attention available around the clock. The camp provides outpatient care. The pill line at the camp operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 to 7:15 AM and 6:30 to 6:45 PM. Sick call at the camp is available on those same days from 6:30 to 6:45 AM. Preventive health screenings may be requested every three years for those under 50, and annually for those over 50.

Fitness & Recreation

The Recreation Department offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, including field games, court games, table-top games, team sports, and space for music enthusiasts. Housing-unit hobby craft is encouraged, with options such as painting, sketching in various media (oils, pastels, crayons, pencils, inks, charcoal), mirror etching, leatherwork, stick art, beading, and crochet. Recreational facilities are open per posted schedules.

Religious Services

The Religious Services Department is staffed by chaplains who conduct worship services and provide pastoral counseling. Weekly services for multiple faith groups are coordinated, and community volunteers contribute to chapel programming. Chapel schedules, special event notices, and upcoming classes are posted in each housing unit. A religious diet program is also available.
