Satellite Camp
Texarkana Camp is a minimum-security satellite camp for men in northeast Texas, near the Arkansas border. The facility operates an active RDAP program and houses approximately 176 people.

The Psychology Department offers a wide range of treatment options for drug and alcohol abuse, including a 30- to 40-hour drug education course, Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous groups, and comprehensive drug abuse interventions. The camp offers a 500-hour Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP). Other programs focus on post-release survival, anger management, values development, and self-help modules. Individual and group interventions are available by request.
Sick call at the camp is held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. All emergencies or injuries receive priority for treatment. Pill lines take place at regularly scheduled times during the day and evening. Local hospitals are approximately five to ten minutes away. Emergency medical care is available 24 hours a day. Persons aged 50 and over are eligible for a physical examination every year.
Leisure activities include organized and informal games, sports, physical fitness, table games, hobby crafts, music programs, intramural activities, social and cultural organizations, and movies. Outdoor facilities include a softball field, soccer field, running track, handball courts, horseshoe pits, a bocce pit, shuffleboard decks, a basketball court, and a weightlifting area. The gymnasium is not available at the camp.
A full-time chaplain provides worship services and group programs. Contract rabbi (monthly) and imam services are available. Many additional programs are led by community volunteers. The camp chapel is located at the end of the hallway from the visiting room. Chapel schedules are posted on bulletin boards at the chapel and in the housing units.
