Housing

Open-bay dormitories, two-person cubicles, and dormitories with eight-person and ten-person rooms. TV rooms in each dorm with a TV committee managing program selections.

Phone Policy

300 minutes per month, 15-minute call limit, 30 approved numbers. Twenty long-distance phones plus local and international phones available. Weekday hours: 6:00–7:30 AM, 10:30 AM–12:30 PM, and 4:00–9:30 PM. Weekends and holidays: 6:00 AM–9:30 PM. All calls recorded and subject to monitoring. Military base phones are off-limits at all times.

Library

Open daily 6:00 AM–9:00 PM. Law library adjoins leisure library. Legal materials cannot be removed. Typewriters, paper, and supplies available. Inmate clerk available for research assistance.

Psychology/Counseling Services

The Psychology Department provides individual consultation, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, grief counseling, and individual and group therapy. Therapeutic groups are offered periodically and announced on bulletin boards. Programs include psychology intake screenings, psychotropic medication open clinic, CARE2-MH Open Clinic, and a Psychology Self-Help Resource Library. Drug Abuse Treatment Programming includes Drug Education, Non-Residential Drug Abuse Treatment, Alcoholics Anonymous, and Narcotics Anonymous.

Health Services

The camp provides primary health care for acute and chronic conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and education. Upon arrival, each person is assigned to a care team led by a physician or mid-level provider to promote continuity of care. Normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, except federal holidays. A health care provider is available on weekends and holidays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM for pill line and emergencies only. Sick call screening is Tuesday through Thursday from 4:30 to 5:00 PM. Daily pill line hours are 7:05 to 7:15 AM and 4:30 to 5:15 PM (4:30 to 4:50 PM on weekends and holidays). Insulin line runs at 7:15 AM and 3:15 PM daily.

Fitness & Recreation

The Recreation Department offers intramural sports (softball, basketball, flag football, soccer, and volleyball), weight training, fitness programs (abs/stretching, step aerobics, presidential sports award program, and wellness), music, hobby craft (art, leather, wood), racquetball, bocce ball, and horseshoes. Movies are shown weekly in the Base Theater or visiting room, or broadcast via the institutional channel. Program times are listed on the monthly recreation schedule and posted on TRULINCS and bulletin boards.

Religious Services

The Religious Services Department focuses on pastoral care supporting spiritual growth, character development, and reentry preparation. Local volunteers teach classes, lead worship services, and provide counseling. The department maintains a large collection of religious audio tapes, video tapes, DVDs, CDs, and a book library with materials for all represented religions. An outdoor worship area is available for nature-based religious services.
