Law Library

The law and leisure library is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM; Friday and Saturday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM; closed Sunday. Law books may not be removed from the library. Copies can be made using your vending machine card balance. Electric typewriters are available for preparing legal documents. A copier is available in the leisure library, along with video cassette recorders and audio cassette players.

Mail

The camp accepts U.S. Postal Service First-Class, Priority, and Express Mail. Contact the facility before sending overnight mail via private carriers like FedEx or UPS.

Psychology/Counseling Services

Psychology services include individual and group counseling, psychological screenings, psychological assessments, crisis counseling, and AIDS counseling. The camp offers non-residential drug treatment groups, Choice and Change classes (formerly drug education), and Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings. A part-time psychiatrist is also available through the health services department.

Health Services

The camp is staffed by physicians, physician assistants, dentists, and a pharmacist, with outpatient care provided on-site. Local hospitals are approximately 20 minutes away. Sick call and dental call sign-up takes place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (excluding holidays) from 6:30 to 7:00 AM. Pill line hours are 6:00–6:30 AM, 11:15 AM–12:00 PM, 3:00–3:40 PM, and 7:45–8:30 PM. Over-the-counter medications are available on a daily schedule through the commissary and are routinely prescribed by practitioners. Preventive health exams are offered every three years for those under 50 and annually for those 50 and older.

Fitness & Recreation

The recreation department offers team sports, fitness and wellness classes, aerobics, and stationary bicycles. A music center is available with instruments including drums, guitar, accordion, and piano. Other activities include pool tables, bocce ball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, and ping-pong. The hobby craft center offers beadwork, drawing, and leatherwork.

Religious Services

The Religious Services Department has three full-time chaplains and utilizes religious contractors and community volunteers. Chaplains conduct worship services, provide personal counseling during times of crisis, and support spiritual development and growth. Services are available for a variety of faith traditions.
